FYI, this story is more than a year old

Non-profit organisation InternetNZ is offering six months of high-definition video conference bridging services for Christchurch schools, as they continue to rebuild their learning networks following the February earthquake.

The services will be provided via the Greater Christchurch Schools Network Trust, at a cost of $40,000.

Vikram Kumar, InternetNZ chief executive, says the donation adds to other support given by the organisation and its members, including a $50,000 donation made to Red Cross immediately after the quake.

"This support for Christchurch schools is the next step,” Kumar says.

"InternetNZ is working on further steps to support the Canterbury region and will be announced over the next few weeks.
