Pond extends invites to educators…

Educators who are members of Pond are now able to invite their colleagues and friends in the education sector to join.

This next phase of the Pond rollout will see a group of fresh faces join the 1028 educators already enjoying the Pond environment.

Those who wish to join Pond need to locate an educator who has an invite available. From within Pond invites may be sent to anyone within a school setting.

Throughout the Pond Educator Invitation campaign a limited number of invites will be issued to existing Pond users. The campaign will conclude when Pond opens for general access to educators.

Network for Learning’s (N4L) Pond was launched to the education community in May 2014, with invite-only Pioneer Educators the first to join. With term three now underway, the Pioneer School Programme and the Pond Educator Invitations are working to expand the community even further.

Pond is a central hub for digital discovery and participation, where educational resources are easily and effectively accessed and shared. So far over 2800 items have been added to Pond by educations and providers.

It is expected that all teachers and school administrators will be invited to join Pond by the end of 2014, with the rollout to students beginning in early 2015.
