Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters for the Nintendo 3DS.

The game is scheduled for an Australasian release on June 15th, in conjunction with the Green Lantern film. While the game will release on other platforms, a press release from Warner Bros. contends that the Nintendo 3DS version "is designed specifically to take advantage of the system's stereoscopic 3D capabilities and deliver multi-plane graphics that delve players further into the Green Lantern universe".

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers can also enjoy the game in traditional "anaglyphic 3D", which is compatible with all standard- and high-definition television sets provided that the player wears special glasses "that will be available for the video game". Of course, the game is also available in stereoscopic 3D on compatible 3D HDTVs and the associated active shutter glasses. The Nintendo Wii and DS versions of the game do not feature any 3D support.
