Open world game, State of Decay, has finally seen the light of day in New Zealand stores, with Microsoft making it available via the Xbox Live marketplace.

Originally refused classification in Australia due to the depiction of self-administered drugs, the game was given an R18+ rating 11 July.

The rating was allocated after the drugs were renamed as ‘supplements’ instead of ‘stimulants.'

The game has already sold more than 550,000 copies, with 250,000 of those within the first 48 hours and is currently only on Xbox Live Arcade, although the developers, Undead Labs, have said there is still a PC version in the works.

Available for 1,600 Microsoft Points, for more information click here
