Since the Xbox One launched in 13 countries on November 22 last year, the console has sold over three million units.

Microsoft revealed the latest numbers which is up from the two million mark that was announced back in December.

This is an amazing number considering the Xbox One was only released in 13 countries and the feat was reached in under two months.

Xbox marketing head Yusuf Mehdi commented: “Since our launch, demand for Xbox One has been strong, selling out throughout the holidays at most retailers worldwide.

“We are continuing to work hard to deliver additional consoles to retailers as fast as possible.”
