Xbox One voice commands finally coming to NZ

Voice commands on the Xbox One Kinect is finally becoming a reality for New Zealanders.

From July, Xbox One customers in New Zealand will be given the option to turn on voice control and use the existing English voice model.

This means Kiwi Xbox One owners can finally talk to their consoles and give out simple commands. Before, voice activation was not available as the Kinect wasn’t able to pick up our accent.

Voice activation is still be fully localised for New Zealand so the experience won’t be perfect just yet. However, things will improve in the future as Microsoft will continue to work on the Kiwi accent.
