2degrees veteran heads up Serko CPO role

Serko, the Australasian online travel booking and expense management for business firm, today announced that Tim Nichols has been appointed to the role of Chief Product Officer.

Nichols, who has more than 15 years’ product marketing experience, was most recently Vice President of Marketing at Endace, based in San Francisco.

Prior to leading marketing at Endace, he was an integral part of the highly successful team that built the 2degrees Mobile brand in New Zealand.

In his new role as Chief Product Officer, Nichols will have responsibility for Serko’s product management, product marketing and corporate marketing activities.

“Tim is a welcome addition to our newly formed executive management team,” says Darrin Grafton, CEO, Serko.

“His international business experience, marketing expertise as well as his understanding of mobile markets around the world are important ingredients in our growth recipe.”

Nichols has been a contract member of the team since November 2013 and takes his role from 1st April.

“Serko is an exciting company with some big aspirations,” Nichols adds.

“Serko’s products are rock solid and there’s a clear need in the market for the products that Serko sells, which makes it a great company to join at this stage in its evolution.

“I’m also really pleased to be joining an accomplished team that has a real depth of talent.”
