Are you as popular a CEO as Tim Cook?
Tue, 30th Apr 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

For somebody constantly barraged and under threat, Apple CEO Tim Cook sure is a popular guy.

Bidding has reached an unbelievable US$600,000 for the chance to sit down and have coffee with the tech chief at Apple's Cupertino HQ.

Offering a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to meet the chief executive, online charity auction site Charity Buzz is running the auction until May 14 - giving us regular folk plenty of time to raise the cash. Yeah right.

Donated by Cook himself, the lot details read:

"Bid now on this unique opportunity to have coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Apple headquarters.

"Tim Cook is Apple's CEO and serves on its board of directors. In 2012 he was named a runner-up to TIME's Person of the Year and topped Vanity Fair's New Establishment list."

The Joy of Tech took it one further however, releasing 'Auctioning the CEO' - a funny sketch depicting what would happen if all companies followed suit.

With Cook offering himself to charity, and so far doing almost embarrassingly well, how much would you or your CEO command for a morning chat over coffee? Tell us your thoughts below
