Australia-based IT company BlinkMobile has entered into a partnership with Vodafone New Zealand that will see its Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) promoted to the telco’s corporate and government customers.

The platform provides a way for businesses to deliver mobile applications to different devices, based on existing back-end information systems or web services.

The partnership is the first BlinkMobile has signed with a telecommunications provider anywhere in the world, according to company director Tony Harris.

“BlinkMobile has established a number of partnerships with organisations large and small across a number of countries,” Harris says, “but this collaboration with a marketing powerhouse like Vodafone New Zealand makes us extremely excited about the future for BlinkMobile in this region and beyond.”

Grant Hopkins, director of sales for Vodafone New Zealand, says the partnership provides a way for the company to support its customers’ enterprise mobilisation plans.

“Organisations around the world are discovering the benefits of mobilising their workforce,” Hopkins says, “and we’re proud to be at the forefront of this innovation in New Zealand.”
