IT services and business consultancy company Capgemini and software giant SAP are to join forces in the mobile space, announcing a five-year development and go-to-market deal for a new solution helping companies design consumer-focused mobile sales applications.

The deal builds on a growing relationship between the two companies, and comes six months after Capgemini made its return to the New Zealand market.

Offering additional capabilities for accelerated Customer Relationship Management (CRM), the solution will leverage SAP’s abilities in back-end architecture and technical optimisation, along with Capgemini’s strengths in mobile architecture design, implementation and hosting services.

Fernando Alvarez, mobile solutions global service line leader for Capgemini, says the mobile sales sector is growing at a rapid pace.

“This agreement builds on our strong relationship with SAP in the area of mobile,” Alvarez says.

“It will help us deliver further value to our customers as we continually strive to build and advise on solutions.”
