D-Link to bust consumer only myth in 2013
Thu, 7th Feb 2013
FYI, this story is more than a year old

With over one thousand resellers and revenues on target to exceed $3 million in New Zealand, D-Link is a significant player in networking, wireless & storage. Recent research and development investment is also opening up opportunities in the IP surveillance space.

While the company’s roots are firmly in business grade networking equipment, many wrongly perceive the company as predominantly a consumer brand.

In 2013, D-Link’s Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager, Ettore Alterisio is determined to change that perception.

With an impressive product range of networking equipment that covers everything from basic switching through to Layer 2, 3 & 3+ switches that can hold their own against HP & Cisco solutions. This combined with highly innovative wireless solutions and the company's Storage Area Networks (SAN) offering they're bound to grab market share in 2013. The depth of this product range from one vendor is a reason behind winning a number of recent deals according to Alterisio.

This year Alterisio’s team plan to launch a new programme to equip, educate, empower and reward resellers and system integrators in New Zealand. "When given the opportunity to present our solutions to corporate businesses, we enevitably win" says Carla Davey D-Link's New Zealand Regional Manager. Davey feels strongly that businesses are potentially paying over the odds and would be doing themselves a huge favour by requesting a D-Link solution be put forward.

IP Surveillance is also a particular area of focus for the vendor in 2013. This may seem like an unusual fit until you see their integrated solutions in action. D-Link is one of the few vendors that can provide a complete standards based approach including cameras, switches, software and Network Video Recorders (NVR) which are also interoperable with industry standard ONVIF compliant solutions.

D-Link's ongoing committment to the New Zealand market is reinforced by the presence of a locally based sales & technical team. For more information about D-Link's business solutions or reference sites contact, Carla Davey from their Auckland office on (09) 951 0367 or 021 655 521.
