Former Unisys exec to lead SAP in ANZ

Business software company SAP has hired former Unisys APJ executive Andrew Barkla to lead its ANZ division, where he will look to take advantages of trends like cloud computing, mobility and big data.

Barkla had been with Unisys for just shy of ten years, having started there in 2003. Prior to that he spent four years as Asia Pacific general manager for PeopleSoft.

“SAP is accelerating transformation in the IT industry,” Barkla says, “and it is great to be joining the market leader.

“I am looking forward to engaging with our customers and our ecosystem to help them extract the benefits these new technologies have to offer.”
