GBS becomes Esri’s first APAC gold partnerAugust 22 - 2pm
Geographic Business Solutions (GBS) have been awarded Esri Gold Partner status, becoming the first organisation in the Asia Pacific region to become certified.
The Esri Partner Network is a worldwide community of companies that develop and deliver solutions and services based on Esri technology.
Esri Gold partners must demonstrate a commitment to Esri’s ArcGIS platform as the cornerstone of their solutions and services, working with Esri and the local Esri distributor to achieve agreed business plan objectives aligned with Esri’s vision, goals and industry focus areas.
“We are thrilled to be awarded Gold Partner status,” says Harley Prowse, Co-Director, GBS.
Founded in 2002 by independent GIS consultants Prowse and Tony Elson, GBS has grown to become a respected resource of expert GIS consultants, project managers and software developers.
“This is an endorsement that our work is of the highest standard,” Prowse adds.
“We see this as adding value to our clients, as we have additional access to market intelligence, joint sales and marketing activities with Eagle Technology, and dedicated technical advisory support from Esri.”
GBS made the announcement at the Plenary Session of the New Zealand Esri User Conference (NZEUC) held at SkyCity, between August 19-21.
“GBS and Eagle Technology have a business relationship reaching back more than 10 years,” says Gary Langford, CEO, Eagle Technology, Esri’s New Zealand Distributor.
“GBS has been instrumental in delivering high level GIS solutions to local government, government, forestry and agricultural sectors in New Zealand.
“GBS has shown an outstanding commitment to Esri’s vision and strategy, attending all major Esri meetings including the Esri Worldwide Business Partner Conference, Esri Developer’s Summit and Esri International User Conference.
“This achievement cements GBS as a key strategic partner as we continue to grow the Esri presence in New Zealand.”
Currently in New Zealand for NZEUC, Esri’s director of Sales, Chris Cappelli believes “the Gold Partner status is reserved for a small section of Esri’s business partners, typically those that have high-level engagement with organisations at a national level.”
