FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft has officially launched its new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, Dynamics AX 2012, bin New Zealand, promising greater flexibility and control from the software leading to better use of resources.

Launched worldwide by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer last month, the software includes built-in capabilities for multiple industries and geographic regions, as well as an enhanced RoleTailored interface supporting over 40 different roles such as Treasurer and Budget Manager.

The product also includes Unified Natural Models, which reflect business processes used in real-world situations.

Microsoft will offer a range of incentives to customers and partners to encourage the transition to Dynamics AX 2012. Specifically, eligible customers with valid Lawson S3 or M3 licenses are being offered a 50% discount on the standard list price, while qualifying partners will also receive a revenue credit for each Lawson-certified consultant that obtains certification in the software.

Microsoft has a number of Dynamics AX 2012 partners in New Zealand, including Koorb Consulting, Adaptable Solutions, and Intergen.
