New councillor, fellows at InternetNZ

This article could be out of date, as it was published 10 months 7 days ago.Advocacy group InternetNZ has announced the results of this year’s council elections at its AGM, with four councillors re-elected to their positions and one new councillor to take up a three year term.
Organisation president Frank March and vice president Jamie Baddeley were both re-elected unopposed to their positions, and will serve three-year terms.
Two other councillors whose terms ended at the AGM, Hamish MacEwan and Michael Foley, were also re-elected, for three years and one year respectively.
Weta Digital production engineer and former Catalyst IT programmer Brenda Wallace will fill the remaining vacancy, having been elected for a three-year term.
The organisation also elected two new InternetNZ Fellows, positions which recognise members of the online community who have made ‘an outstanding contribution to the development of the internet in New Zealand’.
These Fellowships went to network engineer Dean Pemberton and .nz Registry Services board member Donna Hiser.
