Speaking to IT Brief recently, OneNet CEO Mike Snowden discussed cloud computing and hardware redundancy, barriers to cloud adoption and his predictions on the future of the IT landscape.

“No government agency will do anything other than cloud computing by 2012 unless they can explain why,” Snowden stated.

“The way in which we think of resellers selling products that you pick up and carry will change. They’ll be selling services,” he added.

There will be casualities though, mostly in the form of internal IT staff.

“Internal IT people that have been about supporting infrastructure, those jobs, I hate to say it, will disappear,” Snowden said.
