As indicated in last month in The Channel, business security solution provider WatchGuard has launched its entire range of content and network security products as virtualised offerings.

Both the XTMv network security and XCSv content security products are now available in four editions, each targeting businesses of different sizes.

Scott Robertson, vice president, APAC for WatchGuard, says the new offerings place WatchGuard ‘in lock step’ to serve businesses looking to go virtual.

“Hardware-based security is great and will be the mainstay for many businesses,” Robertson says.

“However, there are many businesses now that are taking advantage of virtualisation.

“For small and midsized businesses the cloud is real, and WatchGuard is ready to protect it.”
