Flaming hot iPhone 6 to “set the world on fire”

Offering the clearest indication yet that Apple’s iPhone 6 will dominate the market, analyst firm Gartner believes the flagship smartphone will “set the world on fire.”

Set to come in two varieties, analyst Van Baker believes both devices will be “unbelievably massive” for the tech giant following its financial results last week.

“As well as they did with the iPhone this quarter, with all the rumours of a new iPhone [this fall], I was impressed with the results,” Baker told Computer World this week.

“That tells me when the next generation comes out, they’re going to set the world on fire.”

With other analysts also “extremely bullish” regarding the success of the eagerly anticipated smartphones, Baker believes demand for a larger screen will also help fuel sales.

“But there’s a lot of pent-up demand among developed economies for a bigger iPhone, too,” he added. “I think [the iPhone 6] is poised to do extremely well.”
