Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs is already the 18th best-selling book in the US for 2011, despite the fact it has been on sale for just a week.

379,000 copies of the book were purchased last week, analysts BookScan told thebookseller.com, placing it one spot ahead of John Grisham’s The Confession and one behind Rick Riordan’s The Son of Neptune.

The figures follow Amazon’s indication after just one day that the book was poised to be the website’s top-selling title for the year.

Fascination with the intriguing figure continues to linger, with the New York Times just a few days ago printing the eulogy for Jobs delivered by his sister, Mona Simpson, at his private family memorial.
