GrabOne launches instant deals
Wed, 1st Feb 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Daily deal site GrabOne has launched GrabOne Instant, a new, real-time deal service that will offer fresh bargains to customers and help merchants manage the capacity of their businesses.

Launched in Auckland today and coming to Wellington next week, GrabOne Instant is managed directly by merchants via a customized Android tablet. Each deal can be customised by price and volume depending on whether the business is busy or quiet, meaning if you’re having a slow day you can offer a generous deal to entice people in, and if you’re having a busy day you can offer an add-on deal like two-for-one desserts to entice people to stay.

Campbell Brown, marketing director for GrabOne, says GrabOne Instant has been designed to complement the company’s regular daily deals.

"There are many businesses, particularly eateries, that could pack in a few extra customers over the lunch period,’ Brown says.

"Instant will help merchants stay busy, reach new customers, and move additional inventory. And of course the customer wins by picking up a great deal they only pay for if the voucher is redeemed.”

The tablet system will be rolled out across New Zealand over the course of the year, while Aucklanders are being offered special deals, including 150 GrabOne Instant credit vouchers worth $150 each, and 20,000 ‘lunch on us’ credits worth $5 (also to be included in the Wellington launch).
