Local online movie service Quickflix is offering all NetGuide and Game Console readers a one month free trial of its subscription service as well as a free new release movie!

Quickflix is New Zealand’s leading provider of movie streaming to a host of connected devices and consoles.

Your free trial will allow you to stream hundreds of blockbuster movies and TV shows instantly on demand – including the best from the BBC, ITV and a wide range of children’s shows – completely free for the first month.

You can also stream a free new release movie during the trial period, like Elysium, Red 2, White House Down or kids’ favourites such as Despicable Me 2, The Smurfs 2 or Monsters University.

Quickflix is available on your computer through the Quickflix website and as a Windows 8 app, as well as on a wide range of connected devices including most Samsung, Panasonic, LG and Sony smart TVs and Blu-ray players, Apple and Samsung tablets and smartphones, as well as Sony Playstation 3, 4 and Xbox 360.

As if that wasn’t enough, Quickflix will also be launching a channel on Freeview in the coming months, so you’ll be able to access on demand movies and TV straight from Freeview’s channel guide.
