HP unimpressed with Thunderbolt; chooses USB 3.0

This article could be out of date, as it was published 2 years 7 days ago.Hewlett Packard, unlike Apple, is not rushing to add Thunderbolt ports to its new range of desktop PCs. The company plans to stick with USB 3.0 instead.
According to Computerworld, HP looked at Thunderbolt as an option but chose to stay with USB 3.0 because of wider support.
“On the PC side, everybody seems to be content with the expansion of USB 3.0. Do we need to go into more fancy solutions? Not convinced yet,” HP worldwide marketing manager Xavier Lauwaert told Computerworld.
Apple has adopted the high-speed port for its recent lines of MacBook Pros and iMacs, and its rumoured for inclusion on the next refresh of MacBook Air.
