HP unimpressed with Thunderbolt; chooses USB 3.0May 20 - 1pm 4
Hewlett Packard, unlike Apple, is not rushing to add Thunderbolt ports to its new range of desktop PCs. The company plans to stick with USB 3.0 instead.
According to Computerworld, HP looked at Thunderbolt as an option but chose to stay with USB 3.0 because of wider support.
“On the PC side, everybody seems to be content with the expansion of USB 3.0. Do we need to go into more fancy solutions? Not convinced yet,” HP worldwide marketing manager Xavier Lauwaert told Computerworld.
