iOS review: 100 Balls
Thu, 22nd May 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

100 Balls is a very simple, yet very addicting game. Which is really the best kind of games.

Tap on the screen to open the pot, and the aim to fill moving cups with falling balls. Filled cups will return balls to the pot, while empty cups will be unhooked from the moving chain.

The game ends when all balls or cups are lost. Each level speeds up the cups, and as you move up levels the cups will change colour. Coloured cups produce higher value coloured balls and the longer you can remain in the game, the more points you receive.

It’s pretty repetitive, but as you move up levels the game goes faster and becomes slightly more difficult. You can play for hours at a time trying to beat your previous high score, and that cringing feeling of losing a bucket or two because you don't have a ball ready to dispense just makes the game that much better.

I don’t know how long I’ll play this game. As in, I don’t know how long it will keep my attention and remain on my phone. But I like having a range of games on my phone to choose from, and this one is a good distraction in between Scrabble games.

The interface is simple and clean, and the graphics are basic. designed for both iPhone and iPad,  the app requires iOS 7.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and is optimized for iPhone 5.
