“It seems so far that not many Olympians use tinder. Just wanna match with the Jamaican bobsled team.”

In staying true to the best traditions of the Olympic village, New Zealand snowboarder Rebecca Torr has revealed she’s looking for love, or some fun, in Sochi.

Tweeting the message for the world to see, the Kiwi admitted using the location-based dating app, in a desperate hope of hooking up during the competition.

With a record 150,000 condoms handed out during the London Summer Games in 2012, 15 per athlete for the duration of the event, tales of on the job romances have been commonplace among Olympics.

“Can’t wait for tinder in the Olympic village in Sochi,” tweeted Torr last month, with her message picked up by the Olympic Village Daily newspaper.

“My tinder tweet made the Olympic village daily. Hopefully it brings me more matches and closer to the Jamaicans!” she later tweeted.

And with the Games only days old, the New Zealander appears to have found her happy ending, with the snowboarder telling her followers:

“Seriously tinder is on form here in Sochi hahahaha!!”
