Lorde's Queen Bee but veteran acts maintain pulling power

To celebrate Waitangi Day, Spotify has revealed the most popular local artists currently being streamed by Kiwis.

While Lorde is still getting as much love in her home country as she is overseas, artists such as David Dallas, Shapeshifter, Six60 and Fat Freddy’s Drop are still commanding a large portion of people’s precious listening time.

The most popular albums ranged from recent offerings by Lorde (Pure Heroine), Six60 (Six60) and David Dallas (Falling Into Place) to classic albums by Fat Freddy’s Drop (Based On A True Story) and Shapeshifter (Soulstice).
