New era dawns for online EPLJuly 3 - 8am
With Sir Alex Ferguson retired and the Special One returning to West London, the English Premier League will begin a new era this August.
And for the first time in New Zealand, Kiwis can get in on the action, through premierleaguepass.com.
Unveiled in a flurry of media activity, Coliseum Sports Media became the country’s EPL provider, changing the guard with a 380 game online package.
Moving one of the world’s most lucrative sports to the internet, CEO Tim Martin heralded a new beginning for EPL consumption in New Zealand, triggered by a genuine love for the beautiful game.
“We love sport and we believe in the internet,” says Martin, speaking exclusively to NetGuide.
“Through the internet we expect to grow the EPL footprint in this country massively. At present, around half of Kiwis don’t have Sky, meaning nearly 50% of the public have never watched a EPL game.”
