Panasonic has auctioned ten TVs on Trade Me for $1 reserve, with both companies coming together to give charity donations over Christmas.

Both companies announced a joint initiative to raise money for The Starship Foundation by putting ten Smart Viera television up for auction.

“The idea for this app came from our team right here in New Zealand,” says Stewart Fowler, MD, Panasonic New Zealand.

“We wanted to support The Starship Foundation with this release.

“The Smart Viera television series has been very successful with the New Zealand consumer.

“To date more than 60,000 Smart Viera televisions have been sold in New Zealand.”

The Starship Foundation is a non-profit organisation that raises funds so Starship Children’s Health can better care for its young patients.
