Adobe ANZ channel chief leaves vendor

“I wish the Adobe team well and I look forward to signing up with the next opportunity that comes my way.”

Those were the departing words of Steve Martin, the Adobe ANZ channel head who has announced his decision to leave the vendor.

After joining the company in February 2012, Martin will be replaced in his role by Muralee Kanagaratnam, who held the position of Distribution Channel manager in the business.

“I’d like to thank Steve for his fantastic contribution to Adobe and wish him every success in the future,” says Peter McAlpine, Adobe head of channel sales Asia Pacific.

“Under Steve’s leadership, the ANZ region led the world in the adoption of Creative Cloud [CC] for teams.

“In Q3 [August 30, 2013], 69 per cent of customers in ANZ chose to purchase CC for teams over our perpetual offerings while worldwide, the average was 46 per cent.

“In 2014 we look forward to working with our channel partners and continuing our momentum with CC for teams, Acrobat and Education.”

Adding to McAlpine’s comments, Martin says he is “hugely proud” of his team, and the channel for adapting to such change.
