Former Red Hat executive Alex Pinchev has taken up the reins at disaster recovery and data protection firm Acronis, officially beginning his tenure as president and CEO of the company this week.

His predecessor, Jason Donahue, stepped down in November last year, after three years in the role (although his LinkedIn page is yet to be updated).

Pinchev’s full title at Red Hat was president, global sales, services and field marketing. He has served on the Acronis board for over a year.
