FYI, this story is more than a year old

CA Technologies has appointed Lourens Strydom as new Channel Account director to exploit their "tight-knit" channel relationships within New Zealand.

The software solutions vendor hopes the senior appointment will help extend the company's coverage across the country, with Strydom charged with supporting CA's current customers and partners as well as driving growth in New Zealand.

“New Zealand is a tight-knit and unique market in which CA Technologies has built some excellent channel relationships," says Klasie Holtzhausen, senior channel director, CA Technologies ANZ.

"Lourens’ strong ties, coupled with his wealth of experience, make him the ideal candidate to help us develop our business, and we’re pleased to have him on board to take on this important responsibility.:

Strydom takes the role after moving to New Zealand four and a half years ago when working as a systems architect for Transpower.

Prior to his time in the country he he spent four years in the Middle East, managing presales and service groups for Sun Microsystems over an area including 32 countries while working for HP for eight years in presales in South Africa and a number of other African countries.

Additional Australian support

CA also announced Trevor Rogers as channel account director based in Melbourne, Australia, primarily responsible for growing business in the southern region.

The company says both appointments are in line with their wider channel strategy focused on further growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
