FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand’s Cyclone Computers has upgraded its status to Apple Authorised Education Reseller and promised to bring a better learning experience to students across the country. MD Richard Morgan says the partnership with Apple could “drive a significant increase” in delivery of educational content through digital medium. “Students these days are increasingly digitally competent and technically literate. We see opportunities to deliver increasingly meaningful education by leveraging students’ interest in, and attachment to, these platforms,” he said.

Cyclone’s move up to an Apple Authorised Education Reseller will see it sell MacBook Pros, iMacs, iPod’s and iPads to educational bodies within New Zealand, including public and private schools, universities, polytechnics and other institutes of technical and further education.

The firm has established a new Apple division to focus on growth.

Cyclone has also been appointed an Apple Authorised Service Provider, allowing them to offer service and support to their Apple customers throughout New Zealand. The company employs 48 staff in New Zealand and says it has an annual turnover of around $35 million.
