Dimension Data named Cisco ‘Innovation Partner of the Year’

Hollywood’s main awards season may be over, but the accolades continue to flow for the reseller channel, with Dimension Data New Zealand the latest to step into the spotlight.

The company was awarded Cisco Innovation Partner of the Year 2013 at the Cisco Australia and New Zealand Partner Insight Awards, for its desktop-as-a-service solution, 3D Workspace.

Dimension Data was among 15 partners honoured at the awards, announced at Cisco Live! in Melbourne this week. Cisco says the awards ‘celebrate the high achievers within our partner community’.

“Dimension Data is a deserving winner of the Cisco Innovation Partner of the Year Awards,” says Jason Brouwers, Cisco Australia and New Zealand director of partner business group. “It’s performance and achievements as a Cisco business partner in 2013 were outstanding.”

Simon Gillespie, Dimension Data New Zealand chief executive, says the award underlines Dimension Data’s commitment to innovation that has driven the development of 3D Workspace.

“The award further supports our inclusion on the all-of-government DaaS panel, from which we’ve already secured key anchor clients with more than 4000 users who are now gaining value from the solution,” Gillespie says.

“3D Workspace provides an efficient and highly cost-effective service for organisations wishing to have better flexibility for their workforce and better control of their business, integrating the best of the virtual desktop experience with that of the traditional desktop.

“It can be scaled up and down to meet the evolving requirements of both the user and the business.”
