Distribution Central has launched a new DC POD solution called PerformancePOD, powered by Riverbed and Fujitsu.

According to the company, Product-on-Demand (POD) solutions integrate best-of-breed technology components from DC’s leading technology vendors to produce a pre-defined architecture that solve contemporary business problems.

PerformancePOD is a solution that addresses a business’ IT performance issues – designed to make applications faster, consolidating data centers and managing performance in general – by integrating Fujitsu’s PRIMERGY server with Riverbed’s Performance Platform.

PerformancePOD is the newest in an existing suite of DC POD solutions including RecoveryPOD (integrating CommVault, Fujitsu and NetApp) and existing reference architectures such as FlexPod and V-Shape.

All DC PODs are delivered through the DC PODfactory service, and are configured, validated, supported and asset managed through DC’s SaaS channel management platform and support services.

“IT performance is relevant to any organisation that wants to get the most of their technology – whether it’s through cost savings, operational efficiencies or the ability to evolve with changing business demands,” says Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

Distribution Central has grown from $22 million in FY2007 to more than $250 million in FY2013 in revenue with the company currently employing 120 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
