Distribution Central has been named a finalist in the New South Wales Medium Business Award category at the Telstra Business Awards.

“The Telstra Business Awards recognise businesses from a wide range of industries across the entire country, so we are extremely proud to be selected as one of this state’s best,” says Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

“Whilst the winners are yet to be announced, we are nevertheless proud of our achievement so far as a finalist, and we look forward to celebrating with the other finalists on the night.”

One of six finalists in the Medium Business Award category for NSW, Distribution Central is the only business in the IT sector to be selected as a finalist for the Medium Business Award category for NSW, with only 25 finalists selected in total across the region.

The 2014 New South Wales Telstra Business Awards Gala Dinner is being held 1 July 2014 in Sydney where the winners will be announced across all categories: Start-Up Award; Micro Business Award; Small Business Award; Medium Business Award; Regional Award.

Distribution Central was also named the 2011 BRW ANZ Successful Private Business of the Year (turnover greater than $100 million) and its senior management has been recognised through the ARN Hall of Fame (2012 and 2013), Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2009) and CEO Magazine IT Executive of the Year (2013).

The company has grown from $22 million in FY2007 to more than $250 million in FY2013 in revenue, currently employing 120 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
