Global consumer notebook vendor Asus has broadened its presence within New Zealand, signing on local IT firm Dove Electronics as distributor.

According to the agreement, the Christchurch-based company will add a range of Asus’ motherboards and graphics to its product line.

Founded in 1984, the company represents many international brands in New Zealand, carrying a portfolio ranging from i/o cards and ram through to communications equipment.

After confirming the deal, Asus managing director for Australia Mia Tsai believes that “Dove is a highly competent distributor that provides a personal knowledgeable service.”

“We are confident that they will meet the unique requirements of Asus resellers in NZ,” Tsai added.

At present, Dove operates from three locations across the country, Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington – each with localised sales, support, administration and stocking facilities.
