Exclusive: Ingram Micro snaffles Storagecraft NZ distribution products from Westcon…

Ingram Micro has snaffled the New Zealand distribution of Storagecraft products from Westcon, with the company understood to be appointing a dedicated resource to manage the StorageCraft brand in the country.

In early January, the distributor advertised for a new business development manager for a ‘new role, new vendor, new opportunities’.

The ad noted that the distributor was looking for someone ‘to take charge of and drive our backup and disaster recovery solutions for a well established global vendor’.

Also among the required credentials was the ability to ‘shape and drive both the vendor and Ingram Micro’s presence in the market with some experience launching new products or a business and driving it to succeed’.

The Seek ad also claims: “We take pride and are good in what we do. But we will be even greater in the future.”

Last November the vendor unveiled its enterprise quality cloud DR solution for New Zealand and Australia, available through the StorageCraft managed service provider programme.
