With over 20 years working in the technology field, TechDay understands that Vaughan Nankivell has had his role of ANZ Business Manager for Huawei Enterprise at Express Online disestablished.

Nankivell is most well known for roles at Ingram Micro (2004-2007) and at Kingston Technologies (2007-2010). While in recent years he has held senior management roles at technology distributor Simms International, which through acquisition has been renamed Express Online.

The move coincides with the redundancy of Huawei Business Development Manager Anton Du Preez.

Essentially the move is part of a change of focus for Huawei, who are wanting to redeploy the funding for these two roles into the Australian market. Paul Johnston, Country Manager for Express Online made clear that Huawei enterprise products will still be sold in New Zealand, but that at least for now, Australia represents a bigger opportunity for the networking vendor.

Nankivell has left the organisation already and Du Preez is having his last day today.
