Former Microsoft exec to lead Polycom in ANZ

Unified Communications (UC) company Polycom has appointed 18-year Microsoft veteran Gary Denman to the lead its operations in ANZ.

Taking up the role of managing director, Polycom Australia and New Zealand, Denman  will be responsible for expanding Polycom’s presence in this market across sectors as diverse as healthcare, government, education, mining and enterprise, according to Michael Chetner, VP Asia Pacific for Polycom.

“Gary’s industry skills and experience in the ICT space, along with his proven leadership capabilities in driving high-performance sales teams, make him the ideal person to lead Polycom’s growth in Australia and New Zealand,” Chetner says.

Denman started out with Microsoft in the UK as premier support technician, before becoming a ‘technology evangelist’ and later business development manager. His other roles include national partner team manager for Microsoft in Australia and enterprise group sales director for Microsoft Malaysia.
