Gen-i claims Veeam's top NZ partner award

Gen-i has taken out Veeam Software’s top award for New Zealand partners at the vendor’s ProPartner Awards 2013.

The award, for Veeam ProPartner of the Year for New Zealand, was presented at Veeam’s annual ProPartner Kick Off for 2014 in Auckland late last week.

The winners of each award category were chosen on the basis of significant growth and leadership within their markets, recognising excellence in revenue performance for the 2013 financial year.

Veeam says the awards ‘aim to acknowledge the outstanding achievement and contribution towards innovation and business acumen in implementing virtualisation solutions’.

Don Williams, Veeam Software vice president for APAC, says partners are key to the vendor’s success ‘and this is a great opportunity to thank them personally and recognise their accomplishments in this market’.

Williams told The Channel last week that Veeam had clocked a 63% year-on-year increase in total revenue bookings for 2013 in New Zealand and was aiming for ‘somewhere in the 50% range’ in the coming year.

Dimension Data Australia took out the overall ProPartner of the Year Award for ANZ, while Avnet Technology Solutions (Australia) won Cloud Provider of the Year for ANZ.
