CA Technologies has unveiled a new Asia Pacific Partner Programme that will focus on skills differentiation and business model tiering to boost customer support.

New partners under the programme are Ingram Micro Asia and Transition Systems.

Tan Kwang Meng, vice president, Partners & Alliances, Asia Pacific, CA Technologies, said: "This programme complements the sales efforts of the CA Technologies account teams, and gives us both depth and breadth in its coverage of the diverse Asia Pacific markets.

APAC partners, based on their business models, fall under the following categories:

Solution Providers

These are partners that can create offerings based on the CA Technologies solutions, including Service Assurance, Security, Virtualisation and Service Automation, Service Portfolio Management and Cloud.

Value-Added Distributors

These are partners that have business development and technical capability in recruiting and managing a wide network of second-tier resellers. These partners have skills and business know-how in supporting resellers in deal pursuit and acquisition.

Managed Service Providers

These are partners that can take the CA Technologies suite of products and package them as a service for customers to purchase.

"Each category of partners will be tiered according to their levels of focus in CA Technologies, skills, as well as ability and experience in winning in industry segments and markets. Such clear differentiation of skills and focus will help us increase our footprint in the market and enhance coverage efficiency to best serve and support our customers in the region,” added Tan.

And in other CA news, the firm has signed a new channel partnership with NewLease to distribute CA 3Tera AppLogic within Australia and New Zealand.
