Research In Motion has signed up Ingram Micro to distribute its entire Blackberry range in New Zealand, including, exclusively, the Playbook tablet.

Just last week the market pioneers announced they were expanding their deal with distributors Brightstar in the APAC region.

Although this deal included sales of Blackberry products in New Zealand, RIM said Brightstar would only be selling the Playbook in Australia.

The playbook will be available in three wi-fi models, offering 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of memory. Retail pricing will begin at $799, matching the Apple iPad, the HP TouchPad and the Toshiba Tablet AT100.
