FYI, this story is more than a year old

Cloud-based network management company Mako Networks has signed a multi-million-dollar deal to supply technology that will form the foundation of a new payment security and compliance solution being sold in the US and UK markets.

The solution, dubbed PaySecure, will aim to simplify payment security, particularly compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), for merchants and SMBs.

The Auckland-based company’s role will be to supply network appliances for clients as well as the technology to manage those appliances from the cloud. Their partner in the deal, Phoenix Managed Networks, will serve as the distributor and operator of the solution via the central management system.

Bill Farmer, CEO of Mako Networks, says the solution will be delivered through two certified PCI DSS Level 1 service providers.

"[Phoenix CEO] Jack McDonnell and his team have an exemplary reputation for quality service and innovation in the payments industry,” Farmer says.

"Mako is pleased to partner with an organisation of Phoenix’s calibre.”
