Riverbed has appointed Steve Dixon (pictured) as its senior director, Asia Pacific (APAC) Channels.

The role has been created to drive the company’s channel programme and partner ecosystem across the Asia Pacific region.

Dixon will promote Riverbed IT performance solutions to enterprises and government organisations, including solutions for public, private and hybrid clouds.

He previously held positions with Case Communications (now part of IBM), Cabletron Systems Australia and Kinetica before joining Riverbed in 2005.

“Since joining Riverbed, Steve has played a major role in establishing and driving channel strategy and relationships in the region,” says John Higgs, vice president of sales for APAC, Riverbed. “We’re looking forward to Steve strengthening working relationships with the channels across the Asia Pacific region to ensure the Riverbed brand becomes even more ingrained in the IT landscape.”

Dixon’s previous role of regional director of Australia and New Zealand will be assumed by Ian Raper.
