The New Zealand operation of Canon has created a new managing director role in New Zealand. The role has been filled by the appointment of Yusuke Mizoguchi

Existing country manager, Mike Johnston will leave the company in the first quarter of 2012 as part of the move.

"This appointment will help us further build upon the progress Mike Johnston has made over the past five years in strengthening Canon as the leading imaging company in New Zealand,” said Taz Nakamasu, Canon NZ Chairman.

The appointment comes as part of an increased investment in the New Zealand market by Canon, and promises to benefit their local customers through increasing the visibility of New Zealand market requirements to Canon’s parent company in Japan.

Mizoguchi's responsibilities will encompass all of the three key divisions; imaging product, supplies and service.
