FYI, this story is more than a year old

Websense has appointed David Adams, previously Gen-i enterprise solution specialist, as territory manager for New Zealand.

Adams, who is Auckland based, will report to Gerry Tucker, Websense country manager for ANZ.

Tucker says Adam's experience in the New Zealand IT space was one of the main reasons the security and data loss prevention specialist was 'eager' to bring him on board.

“David's knowledge of influential technology trends, including cloud computing, and strong client engagement skills will make him a valuable asset for our operation in New Zealand,” Tucker adds.

Adams, who has nearly 20 years experience in the New Zealand IT industry including working for NetApp, Equant and Blue Coat Systems, says he says 'significant opportunity for growth in New Zealand'.

“Recent data breaches, both locally and globally, demonstrate that IT security complexities are increasing and local organisations are facing more sophisticated cybersecurity threats.

“I am keen to make the most of these opportunities to grow Websense's footprint in New Zealand.
