Dell SonicWall has introduced two new Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances targeting small locations like branch offices, retail outlets and SMBs.

The release is the first since the acquisition of SonicWall by Dell was finalised last week.

Dell SonicWall vice president of product management and corporate marketing, Patrick Sweeney, says the TZ 105 and TZ 205 appliances offer ‘an elegant integration of vital security and mobility features’.

In addition to features like anti-malware, intrusion prevention, content/URL filtering and application control, the appliances also offer support for native SSL VPN clients for iOS and Android phones and tablets, as well as Windows, Mac OS and Linux devices.

"Our customers in small businesses, retail deployments, government organisations, remote sites and branch offices benefit from the most effective and comprehensive enterprise-class protection to make security a business enabler, not a business barrier,” Sweeney says.

Dell SonicWall is distributed in New Zealand by Connector Systems.
