Renaissance appoints new CFO

Renaissance have appointed Donovan Smith as chief financial officer.

Announced by acting CEO R.J. Halls on behalf of the board, the company says Smith’s role will be effective immediately.

After originally joining Renaissance 2010, Smith has held a number of senior finance and management roles within the group.

Prior to immigrating to New Zealand in 2008, Smith was a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.

He has over 15 years financial and management experience across a range of industries including mining with both De Beers Consolidated Mines and Rio Tinto, large scale electrical equipment service and maintenance provision; as a partner in a public accounting practice in South Africa and senior roles with a New Zealand public practice.
