Silver Peak granted re-examination of Riverbed patents

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted Silver Peaks request to re-examine two Riverbed Technology patents.

The company also has issued Office Actions rejecting all of the claims in each patent that Riverbed has accused Silver Peak of infringing.

As the patent sage continues between the two companies, the software provider filed documents with the USPTO in September requesting Inter Partes Re-examinations of the Riverbed patents that Riverbed alleges are infringed by Silver Peak.
