SnapperNet brings high-performance storage to NZ businesses

SnapperNet, the data communication products distributor for IT service providers, is bringing the latest range of NAS Business Storage solutions from Seagate Technology to New Zealand.

This range is specifically aimed at the business market, designed to bring high-performance storage with savings in rack space in datacentres.

SnapperNet will offer two ranges of NAS Appliances that Richard Paul, Director for SnapperNet, believes will fill existing gaps in the market.

“SnapperNet is pleased to be in this significant position of working closely with Seagate to bring these solutions to the market,” he says.

“The products are a great addition to our portfolio and to a reseller’s range.

“They suit businesses of all sizes that require data storage. The space and cost savings in the datacentre will be one of the key differentiators for these NAS Appliances.”

The first range is the Seagate Business Storage Server 4-bay NAS for Windows.

Designed for offices or workgroups with up to 50 employees, this 4-bay NAS centralises storage to allow access, collaboration and sharing of files securely from all computers within a business network, while simultaneously hosting PC backups in one central location.

Paul says it gives complete integration with Windows IT infrastructure and native support for Active Directory.

The second range is the Seagate Business Storage 8-Bay and 4-Bay Rackmount NAS solutions.

The 8-bay Rackmount NAS boasts enterprise-class hardware inside and making it the ideal solution for businesses that demand a higher level of performance and reliability for up to 250 employees.

Designed for companies of up to 100 employees, the 4-bay Rackmount provides high-performance storage capacity while featuring hot-swappable best-in-class 3.5-inch which drives optimised for NAS with dual-core Intel processor and provides customised error recovery controls, specialised power management and vibration tolerance for optimum performance and reliability.

Other benefits of the Seagate NAS Business Storage family according to Paul include a three-year warranty, the ability to do field replacement of hard drives and cooling fans, as well as a free subscription to a cloud backup service.
