Distributors Synnex have made three new appointments, two to push the Lenovo PC brand it picked up last month and one to provide additional support to the dealer channel.

Former Cellnet and Ingram Micro employee David Carlile has come on board as business development manager for Lenovo. Carlile promoted Lenovo for a year during his time with Cellnet so is no stranger to the brand.

Also joining Synnex is Dan Hellyer, who is taking on the role of product manager for Lenovo. Hellyer has formerly held positions with Tech Pacific (now Ingram Micro) and Trimax, who were acquired by Maclean Computing.

Finally, the company has also hired Heinrich van Aswegen as an additional business development representative. Aswegen was most recently a representative for Eveready batteries in South Africa.

Synnex was added as a Lenovo distributor in September. Lenovo recently became the second-largest PC manufacturer in the world by shipments, and is also distributed in New Zealand by Ingram micro.

In a further push for the brand, Synnex is also offering resellers who purchase Lenovo products a chance to win adrenalin adventures including hang gliding or tandem sky diving. Go here for more.
